Beloit Snappers Allowing Baseball Fans in the Stands this Season

Pohlman Field is being readied for another Beloit Snappers baseball season and unlike last year, fans will be allowed to come cheer them on.

BASEBALL FANS, here's some good news. The Beloit Snappers have created a plan for us to attend baseball games this season in person. Here's what you need to know to be inside the ballpark on Tuesday, May 11 for the Snappers home opener.

As a baseball fan, I love being at the game much more than watching it on TV, or listening to the radio. I feel pretty confident the players like us in the stands, too.

In order for this to happen, and to happen safely, there are some guidelines we're going to have to follow. They are exactly the same as the guidelines at every other Major League Baseball stadium. Here they are:

• Face masks must be worn at all times by all fans over the age of two. Masks may be removed briefly when fans are actively eating or drinking while seated in their assigned seat.
• No bags, except for medical or diaper bags.
• Physical distancing will be enforced on the concourse, concession lines, at all entrances and exits and in seating where necessary.
• Guests may be directed to enter and exit the stadium through designated entry gates to expedite the process and limit crowding at any one entrance. At the conclusion of the game, guests will receive instructions on safe exit procedures and exit locations. In weather delay situations, fans will be permitted to return to their cars during the delay and allowed to re-enter the stadium when the game resumes to prevent crowding on the stadium’s concourse.
• For the safety of players, coaches, and fans, there will be a 12-foot Buffer Zone comprising areas frequented by players and coaches. No contact will be permitted between players and fans, including for autograph requests and fans will not be allowed to gather near the dugouts, bullpens, or other areas near the players.

The team also shared some recent photos of how things are progressing at their new stadium being built near downtown Beloit.
