When times are tough, it always helps to look for the positive. Finding the bright side in any rough spot can make even the worst experiences tolerable, and sometimes those 'bright sides' can come from actual people. People just like Thad Regenold of Beloit, Wisconsin, who is this week's Hometown Hero.

Thad was nominated by fellow Beloit resident Jodi Neubauer and she had some pretty amazing things to say about Thad and the way he has spent his time during the COVID-19 pandemic...

Thad has dedicated his life to serving his community and people around him. He’s a RN, working in community healthcare. He worked during COVID, help run the vaccine clinic, all while maintaining his role as a diabetic nurse educator. Not only does he work with adults in need in our community, he’s a mentor to the community’s youth. Thad has been involved in Scouting for years. . He helps raise money for kids to go to scouting camp, coached softball, been a leader and a mentor. He made sure the kids who didn’t have softball gear, got what they needed. He has never turned a kid away.  He’s the guy who is always fighting for the underdog and the less fortunate. He’s dedicated to our community professionally and in volunteering with Scouts. Thad has touched so many lives in Beloit. He’s definitely a Hometown Hero!

Thad, we, along with our friends at Gustafson's Furniture and Mattress, would like to thank you for your unending dedication to those most in need during the pandemic by giving you a $100 Amazon Gift Card. We truly hope you will use it to buy something nice for yourself...and not the awesome kids you Scout with and mentor. You more than deserve it!
