Just thinking about Christmas when I was perusing the "Most Popular Christmas Recipes In Every State" and it dawned on me, I need to make something for my family this year.

I'm sure my situation isn't much different from yours. For nearly my entire life, I have spent Christmas with family. Meaning, I don't need to come up with a menu, merely just a simple dish to pass.

This year, things are different, duh. I won't see my fam, so now not only do I need to prep a side dish, but also the main course and everything else. Yikes!

I can tell you one thing that's not gonna fly in my house, is Roasted Carrots. I've got some picky eaters in the crib and cooked vegetables just won't cut it on Christmas or any other day of the year.

So I was surprised to see a boring plate of Roasted Carrots listed as Illinois' Favorite Christmas Recipe according to Treetopia.

How? Well, Treetopia says "we turned to Google Trends search data from the 2019 holiday season for the most popular holiday dinners and desserts."

Wisconsin's favorite Christmas recipe? Goose. That's a step up from Cannibal Sandwiches, I guess.
