I really love the zoo. I have so many fond memories from when I was a child,  now that I have a child I bring mine. People donate money to zoo's all the time. How do you think they really pay for most of the exhibits? Miller Park Zoo is a great zoo and a great number of people travel there every year to look at the beautiful animals. Children get to learn about nature and it's a great place for the whole family to enjoy.

The Miller park Zoo has had a Flamingo exhibit since 2015. They had 25 Flamingos in the exhibit. Now they only have 24, all because some kid decided it was okay to throw a rock at one according to CentralillinoisProud.com. The Flamingo suffered a broken leg and the injury was so severe that the animal had to be euthanized. This really makes me sick to my stomach. How can you not have compassion for another living thing.

The zoo is said to be working with the child's family in the hope of making it a learning experience. It was definitely a cruel move on the child's behalf. I feel his parents might have a few things to learn as well. Whatever happens, the child definitely deserves some strict punishment
