Well this is kind of strange, according to MyStateLine.com, a insurance company out of Indiana is suing the city of Rockford for $24.2 million dollars. And its not even because of something in Rockford. Federal insurance company is suing Rockford because of flooding that occurred at the Rockton  Mercyhealth campus. The lawsuit states that the city didn't properly maintain the storm drain and sewer system near the hospital.

They say when the flood happened, on June 18th, water backed up and headed towards the hospital, which caused a window to shatter allowing water to rush into the hospital. They're saying that the flooding caused "significant and catastrophic damage" to the building. During the flood there were no evacuations but the hospital had to temporarily stop accepting patients. It looks like the hearing is scheduled for August 29th of this year.
