Accident Leaves One Dead In Freeport

According to WIFR, "27-year-old Kyle Ramos of Freeport was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a highway embankment according to the Illinois State Police District 16."

The accident happened last night around 10:50. The crash took place at the US Route 20 eastbound ramp to Route 75 in Stephenson County.

"The preliminary investigation shows Ramos was riding a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle when it left the eastbound ramp to Illinois Route 75 and crashed into an embankment," says WIFR.

Ramos was taken to the hospital via airlift where he was pronounced dead.

Details so far are murky but it appears that the accident was on Ramos as I have not seen anything about any other drivers at the scene. We would like to send our condolences to the family and remind everyone that it's warm again.
