This time of the year we are bombarded by holiday movies and about 98 percent of them are fictional, but one Suburban Chicago couple inspired a Hallmark Christmas movie that is truly one of a kind and it will definitely pull on your heartstrings. Aptly named 'Once Upon a Christmas Miracle" This film was completely inspired by Heather Krueger and Chris Dempsey. Here is the trailer for the film:

According to the Chicago Tribune, the story began in 2015 when they were actually complete strangers. So Dempsey heard a co-worker talking about a family member that needed a liver transplant. Thinking how it would be to be in a situation like that, Dempsey decided to donate half of his liver to his co-worker's cousin, Heather Krueger. Not only that but Dempsey also organized a benefit with his motorcycle club to help pay for Krueger's medical expenses.

The two ended up working together for the benefit, and Krueger began to think that this is someone she could spend her life with. She said, "He literally saw me at my worst, It can only go up from there." In March of 2015 the two of them had their surgeries without complications, and later that year in December, Dempsey proposed to Krueger after they did some Christmas shopping and took a carriage ride in downtown Chicago.

Dempsey said that never in a hundred years did he imagine anything like this happening, He originally just wanted to help someone in need. Well, he definitely did that.

This story is the stuff that dreams are made of. The couple even had a cameo in the film just dancing in the background in one of the scenes. Currently, the couple volunteers with the non-profit organization Gift of Hope which helps organ donors find recipients.
