A truck hauling garbage, spilled all over a very busy road, just south of Rockford, forcing the road to close for several hours on Thursday afternoon.

Traffic came to a stand still in DeKalb as the intersection of Rt 38 and Peace Rd was shut down due to a transfer truck, hauling garbage, overturned at the busy intersection.

A stinky mess indeed. According to DeKalb County Online, shortly after 12 noon, a vehicle transporting garbage, overturned as it was rounding the corner at Peace Road and Rt. 38. The vehicle ended up dumping it’s garbage on the roadway and even one vehicle that was waiting at the traffic signal at the intersection was dumped on.
