A 1920s Bank Is Now A Walgreens and You Need To See The Inside
If you love the early-1900's architecture you are going to love this. What once was Noel State Bank in Chicago (circa-1920) is currently the home of a Walgreens. It is located at the intersection of North Damon and North Milwaukee in Wicker Park. This inside of the building screams "this used to be a bank" and it looks fascinating. I've never taken a road trip to see the inside of the Walgreens but now I might. Wait until you see inside this place, including the vault that is now a vitamin section of the store.
Matt Richards of Chicago snapped photos of the inside and shared the images in the Facebook group, Original Chicago.
Here's an exterior view of the exterior.
The inside is beautiful, it's hard to imagine another Walgreens (other something similar) being this magnificent inside. Just wait until you see the vault.

Here are directions to the bank-turned Walgreens.
