The big holiday weekend is almost here and anywhere you turn, you hear about a "Memorial Weekend Sale". While you may come across some bargains, not everything is a true bargain.

Furniture and mattresses are always on sale on the Memorial Day holiday weekend, but often, that is where the savings end. Procrastination is a good thing, sometimes. Nerdwallet.com conducted the analysis and found these items you should not buy this weekend.

3 Things you shouldn't buy on Memorial Day weekend

1. Swimsuits: Sure you want to take that big splash, especially with Magic Waters opening over Memorial Day weekend, but you may not save too much. The best time to buy swims suits and trunks is late June. You'll often save as much as 50 - 75% if you wait.

2. Apple Products: Nerdwallet advises to wait until September. This is when Apple typically releases a new iPhone. The current models are usually substantially reduced when the new models are introduced.

3. Back to School Supplies: Sure the kids are barely out of school (some are still in school for a few more days), but this is something you want to wait on. According to Nerdwallet:

Prices on back-to-school supplies are best in late August and early September, when stores start hosting blowout sales.
