The weather for Labor Day weekend 2017 is supposed to be spectacular, being low-to-mid 80's, the warmest being Labor Day at about 85 degrees. And, since this is the weekend most of us celebrate the end of summer, it's the perfect weekend to go for a swim. The only problem is some beaches have swimming advisories and many are closed.

Sixteen Lake Michigan beaches are closed due to hazardous surf. Four LM beaches have swimming advisories due to rough surf and/or poor water quality. Some beaches along Lake Michigan are closed for both reasons.

According to WGN TV,

The coast guard is also advising people to stay off rocks, jetties and piers, as high surf can sweep you out into the lake.

The status of all Chicago-land Lake Michigan beaches can be found here.
