My family LOVES the holiday season so we try to cram in as much Christmas fun as we can every December. Baking cookies, visits with Santa, and Christmas light rides are just a few of the things on our holiday to-do list, and each year we try to add something new.
Living in the 815, we are pretty lucky to be so close to so much holiday fun. Whether it be Chicago or Wisconsin, we have a wealth of Christmas delights just a short car ride away. My family has done a few of the Chicago Christmas things in the past, so this year I'm setting my sights on Wisconsin...particularly, Lake Geneva. Here's why...
2022 Christmas Events in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
If lighted parades, beautiful trees, and Santa experiences are just a few of your favorite things each Christmas, Lake Geneva is ready to provide all of them, and so much more.
Here are four holiday events you won't want to miss in December according to VISIT Lake Geneva;
1. The 47th Annual Electric Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 3, 2022 - This parade begins at 5 p.m. on December 3, begins on Broad Street, and then travels down Main Street in Downtown Lake Geneva.
2. Parade of Trees at Geneva Lakes Museum - Open Friday through Monday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. now through January 2, 2023. See over 35 Christmas trees that have been beautifully decorated by businesses, residents, and non-profits in the Lake Geneva area.
3. Santa Cruises With Lake Geneva Cruise Lines - Book a spectacular 40-minute cruise on the lake that features hot cocoa, cookies, SANTA, lighted holiday displays and so much more Christmas magic! Cruises run multiple times and days each week now through December 30, 2022.
4. Christmas at Grand Geneva - The Grand Geneva Resort and Spa has a ton of Christmas events to delight you this holiday season, including the 12 Days of Christmas drive-thru holiday light show, holiday trolley rides, breakfast with Santa, a Gingerbread House Walk and SO much more!
