1st Time Illinois Amusement Park Hosts Drive-Thru Holiday Lights

For the first time ever, this Illinois amusement park will host a drive-thru holiday light display.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been a big fan of holiday light displays. During Christmastime, I enjoy driving around and checking them all around our community. Nowadays, so many residents in my neighborhood go all out.

I am not talking about something completely tacky and insane like Clark Griswold in the movie, "Christmas Vacation." In my mind, I am thinking about something creative and beautiful.

Drive-thru Christmas light displays are not a new thing. They have been around for years. The Festival of Lights here in Rockford has been happening for a long time. People love it because they do not even have to leave their vehicle or do a lot of walking to enjoy it. Just stay in the comfort of their car and drive.

More Drive-Thru Holiday Light Displays Are Opened

Many things have changed since we have been it with this pandemic. People have learned new ways of doing activities. One of the cool events that have grown is drive-thru holiday light displays. More and more places are doing them now because residents just feel safer. There are many different ones to choose from.

New Drive-Thru Christmas Light Display To Open This Year

A new location has joined in on the drive-thru Christmas light display fun this year. That is Santa's Village Azoosment Park in East Dundee, Illinois.

It is just $20 per car. The display opens the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays. and Sundays.
