A house fire in Rockford earlier this week has lead to 11 dogs needing new homes. This after their owner relinquished them to Winnebago County Animal Services.

These boxer-mixed dogs (10 female and 1 male) have been examined by WCAS vets. Their shots are up-to-date and they've been spayed/neutered. Win-Bur-Sew Fire Department reported the pets to be doing well with a few being monitored for effects related to smoke inhalation.

One (or more?) of these beautiful dogs could be the newest member of your family.

These dogs are waiting for love and a new home, currently residing at Winnebago County Animal Shelter.

(Note: Not all dogs were listed, meaning they've either since been adopted or aren't ready for their new home yet.)

If you're interested in any of these pets it would be smart to fill out an adoption application ahead of time. You can also reach out to Winnebago County Animal Services by calling (815) 319-4100.
