Winnebago County Cribs: $1.5 Million House For Sale in Rockford

I remember watching MTV Cribs and Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous as a kid and dreaming of what it would be like to own a house that big. The things you don't realize as a kid that you realize as an adult are kind of funny.

I now know how much furniture it takes to furnish a house or how much cleaning actually has to be done. Yet, there's still that childlike wonder when you see a house and picture what life would be like if it was yours.

On this week's installment of Winnebago County Cribs, I present this nearly $1.5 million dollar house on Spring Creek Road in Rockford.

It boasts 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms at 9,110 sq. ft. It has a three-car heated garage, spa-like bathroom for the master, guest house, game room, tennis court, even a 2nd kitchen — because why walk farther for pizza rolls than you have to? It even has a personal gym. This makes me laugh as I indulge in a doughnut.

Personally, the backyard would be where I spend most of my time. It has a beautiful fire pit, bar area, and stone patio that is the perfect setting for entertaining guest. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't even afford the taxes, but as Ferris Bueller once said, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."
