LATEST UPDATE:

WREX reports that there were no injuries with small plane crash this morning at the Chicago Rockford International Airport.

"The pilot is in good condition and was the only one on board at the time of the crash."

The pilot "[attempted] to land at the airport."

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.

At this time there were no reported flight delays at the airport.

We're so glad no one was seriously injured or killed in this crash.


 

UPDATE:

The Rockford Register Star reports that at 9:45 a.m. a Cessna 182 "en route to Rockford from Dubuque Regional Airport in Iowa" crashed on the Chicago Rockford International Airport runway.

WIFR reported on their Facebook through live video feed of a plane crashed on the runaway at the Rockford airport.

The video taken courtesy of the Rockford Register Star, staff writer Arturo Fernandez, reported that "small-engine plane crash at the Chicago Rockford International Airport."
