‘Spook the Blocks’ Is This Saturday in Downtown Rockford

Princesses, superheroes, zombies and more will be taking over downtown Rockford this Saturday when the second annual "Spook the Blocks" begins at 11 a.m.

With two littles at home, I'm always looking for fun holiday events to take my kids to, and Halloween is no exception. Getting in as much trick-or-treating as possible is always the goal, but it's not about the candy. It's about getting as much mileage as you can from the costume you worked so hard to pay for or make, and oh, the kids super love it as well. Right, parents?

More than a dozen local businesses will be participating in this fun event, so bring the whole family to eat, drink and be scary downtown this Saturday.
