One of the most popular wedding locations around Rockford is about to get a big upgrade. The venue's big room, which is also a winery, will been even more enjoyable every season of the year.

DC Estate Winey in South Beloit hosts 35-40 events a year, with most happening from May to October. Since opening, the venues banquet room has not been temperature controlled, with only large fans and a cool nights breeze to keep things cool.

Well, sweat no more because in 2017 that will change.

Tia Lasswell, event planner and coordinator extraordinaire at DC Estate Winery, shared the exciting news with me, adding "I feel like I just got the BEST Christmas present ever!"

The new air conditioning will be ready in time for the 2017 wedding season. The venue will also have heat, too.

If you've ever been there for a wedding you know how warm it can get. Future wedding receptions are about to get even more enjoyable!
