If you were at Old Settlers Days in Rockton this past weekend you may have noticed the "Bags for Brock" game. Here's the story of Brock and the degenerative illness he is living with, plus the super exciting treat he got on Sunday at OSD.

Brock Scarpetta is a 9-year-old boy who lives in Rockton and loves everything that has to do with cowboys and the rodeo. Brock also lives with Batten Disease, a neurodegenerative disorder that will eventually take his life if a cure is not found. My heart broke when I first heard about Brock's story, and then it broke even more when I saw this video on Brad Scarpetta's Facebook page :

Brock's family and friends are working desperately to get the word out about Batten Disease in order to raise money to fund research for a cure, so that amazing kids like Brock don't continue to regress. You can read  more about this amazing young boy and the awful disease he is fighting, plus made a donation now at cowboyforacause.com.

In fact, Brock is such a sweetheart, he even impressed one of Country's biggest cowboys last weekend at Old Settlers Days. We couldn't love this more.

You go, Brock. We're all rooting for you!
