Technically it;s Fall now, but luckily for us, Mother Nature has decided to be kind and extend Summer a bit longer.

I don't know about you, but my girlfriend and I made plans to eat outside A LOT this Summer. And although we did a few times, we didn't do it nearly as much as I thought we would. Summer just flies by. The Stateline area has so many fabulous restaurants. Some of them are better enjoyed outside with a drink in hand. So you better hurry up and get to them while you still can. Otherwise all you'll be doing is staring out a window at grey skies and snow while you long to have this amazing weather back.

I know I will be taking full advantage of the gorgeous weather this weekend. You better too. Here are the restaurants you HAVE to go to before all the leaves hit the ground.

Prairie Street Brewing Company 200 Prairie St. Rockford

We were just there last week. The river, the sunset, the treeline of the Forest City. There's nothing like this view. The food is mouth watering as well.

Olympic Tavern 2327 N Main St, Rockford

I've always loved dining on the patio here. If you haven't been, you're missing out.

Tad's on the Rock 10 E. Riverside Blvd, Loves Park

Another gorgeous view of the river. Do you see a pattern here?

Abreo 515 E. State St., Rockford

They just remodeled and now have open air dining, plus an outside patio. I can't recommend this place enough. The food and the drinks will absolutely WOW you.

The Rock Bar & Grill 101 Maple Ave., Beloit

Again The river. But seriously people, it's a gorgeous view.

Clara Bo & Gatsby Wine Bar 1901 Liberty Avenue, Beloit

Deliciously paired food and wine + quaint patio = perfect setting.

Alchemy 610 N. Bell School Rd. Rockford

Open air dining at it's finest.

Which one are you heading to this weekend. Maybe I'll see you there.
