In the Northern part of Wisconsin in a town called Moquah stands a bar called the Plywood Palace, but I'm gonna warn you now, it takes the title "rustic" to a whole new level.

Plywood Palace in Moquah, Wisconsin

The inside of the Plywood Palace, aka, the Moquah Bar looks like what you would expect from a dive bar;

Dollar bills and bras hanging from the ceiling...

But the raunchiness factor is scaled up a few notches at this particular dive bar...

I think it's safe to say that this bar is not dressing to impress anyone, but wait until you get a load of the outside...

Believe it or not, the Moquah Bar is still open for business today, and while some people say it's a must-see in Wisconsin, others will tell you beware.

Strange Warnings About the Plywood Palace

A person recently shared a picture of this super unusual dive bar in the Strange Wisconsin Facebook group, and I was fascinated and appalled by it all at the same time. Then I read the comments.

One person said; "would like to go there and have an Old Fashioned", to which people responded with; "hmmm I would not", and "yeah... Don't do that...".

What possibly could be so bad about the Plywood Palace besides the fact that it looks like an actual burn pile waiting to be lit from the outside?

 Word to the wise: drink prepackaged drinks only.

NEVER order a mixed drink from the Plywood Palace.

You wanna stick to cans there.

And now for the real reason for all the weird warnings...

he wipes the glass out with his shirt and scoops the ice in with his barehand. Only drink out of bottles and cans!

Ok, I think I'm gonna pass on visiting the Moquah Bar. I can handle plywood walls and cracked concrete floors while I have a drink, but seeing someone use their shirt to wipe out glasses is where I draw the line.
