Oreo just announced that  'Oreo Thins' will be hitting store shelves starting July 13, and now we don't have to feel as guilty when we accidentally eat a whole bag of cookies in one sitting. Yahoo!

Ok, before we get too carried away, Oreo Thins may be a sleeker version of the beloved original, but that doesn't make them a "diet" cookie. Restraint must still be displayed.

This new cookie is 7.5mm thick, (the regular Oreo is 12.5mm thick) and will come in three flavors; original, golden, and mint. According to the packaging, three Oreo Thins have 140 calories, 6 grams of fat and 12 grams of sugar, while three regular Oreos have 160 calories, 7 grams of fat and 14 grams of sugar. Comparison of those numbers may be quite close, but the way I see it, I get to eat one extra cookie and still be under the calories of the regular Oreos. That, my friends, is a score! Plus, rumor has it that these Oreo Thins may be slimmer, but still just as delicious as the regular ones!

Move over Oreo Minis, we have no use for you anymore. We prefer the company of your thin cousin from now on.
