School is back in session for some kids around the area. There are a few who already received a big honor by a weekly publication.

Newsweek listed the top 500 high schools in the nation that prepare kids the best to go to college. Twenty-four schools in Illinois were on that list. Here they are with the rank being first, name of the school, college readiness, graduation rate, college bound students and poverty
