Kid Friendly Fun at Lockwood Park
This past weekend, I had a blast at 'Locktoberfest' at Lockwood Park with the Rockford Park District. There's still one more weekend of fun for your family in October. Want to get in on our kids costume party? Here's how.
The air is crisp. The country scenery is breathtaking, and the Lockwood Park helpers are all smiles. It must be 'Locktoberfest' at Lockwood Park at 5201 Safford Road. There's so much to see and do and so it's all so close. Imagine, just minutes from downtown Rockford you will transformed into the country.
I had a blast picking pumpkins, playing games, taking a hay wagon ride, and of course, chowing down on tasty fries. But the highlight of my last visit to Lockwood Park, were the smiling faces on the kids.
This Saturday and Sunday, October 25-26, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. will be the final weekend of fun during Locktoberfest. Bring the kids in costume for our Q98.5 Costume Party Days featuring candy and a scavenger hunt. For more details and directions, contact the Rockford Park District.
Quality time is priceless, so bring your cameras and get ready to enjoy a wonderful free family event before the snow hit the Stateline.
