Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall and First Northern Credit Union invites you to LIVE UNITED DAY on Saturday, November 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to help support children living in poverty. Families living in poverty cannot use SNAP to purchase personal hygiene items such as shampoo, deodorant, and soap. As a result, young children are missing school because of adequate health care products.
During the event, United Way of Rock River Valley staff and volunteers will collect donations of personal and hair care products at Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall and work together with Youth Services Network to distribute the items to Rockford-area families that need them the most. Individuals are also encouraged to learn more about becoming a volunteer through United Way's Tiny Hands, Big Hearts pre-k mentoring program and I READ mentoring program.
