We all hoped this would happen, and now ABC has confirmed it, Grandpa Rossy will be performing to "Go Cubs Go" on the Dancing With The Stars premiere Monday night.

On Wednesday ABC announced what dance style, and to what song, each of the celebrities and their dance partners will be performing on Monday night's DWTS premiere.and all Cubs fans are now doing a happy dance. David Ross, and his partner Lindsay Arnold, will be performing a Quickstep to "Go Cubs Go"!

Grandpa Rossy is the first MLB player to ever be featured on the show, which is a honor he doesn't seem to be taking lightly. He recently told Us Weekly:

"I think there are bigger stars, so many other guys in baseball that they could have picked, but I think it says a lot about the team I was on and how much America loved the team. To put me in this situation, a guy who’s been a backup catcher his entire career, basically, and all of a sudden I’m on DWTS… I’m not a special player at all, but I’ve been on some special teams with some special people. I have so many people to thank for it, including my teammates, so I’m trying to represent that group the best I can — that’s how I’m kind of looking at it.”

Personally, I cannot wait to see how Ross does on the show, because I'm sure A LOT of Americans will be voting for him. However, I can't lie, I am a little concerned about his dance technique after seeing this pose. I hope Lindsay is working on those arms, and I'm sure all past dance students know exactly what I am talking about.

You know you're officially a team when you start twinning at rehearsal 😉 #tiedupshirt #dwts @dancingabc
