Having lived in the Stateline all my life I always get nostalgic when summer rolls around. Great times and great country concerts were always a part of my summers, one of my favorites was when Dierks Bentley headlined  Rockford's On The Waterfront festival six summers ago.

You might recall there was a huge thunderstorm before the show and the concert was almost cancelled, but just in time, the weather cleared and Dierks Bentley took the stage for one of the biggest crowds ever at On The Waterfront

Through the world of video, let's flashback to Thursday night, September 2, 2010 on the Great Lawn stage in Davis Park.

The Rockford crowd was jamming to Dierk's first hit "What Was I thinking"

Dierks toned it down with great rendition of "Long Trip Alone"

Dierks was presented with a cool greeting card by members of the audience at Davis Park.

Later, the whole band joins Dierks at the front of the stage

The crowd slow dances to Dierks #1 ballad "Come A little Closer"
