Waking up early on Saturday mornings is not what it used to be. Gone are the days of great cartoon television programs for kids to look forward to on weekends. Here's a list of the top five cartoon television programs that originally aired on weekend mornings in the mid 1980s or 1990s. See if you remember these.

Weekend morning programming on major networks mainly program weekend morning "news" shows like "Today", "Good Morning America" and others. It will be hard to find a recurring cartoon show that the kids can enjoy like the kids of the 80's and 90's enjoyed.
