Rochelle is hosting the second annual Cinco De Mayo Festival on Saturday, May 2 from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Gazebo in downtown Rochelle. There's live music, great food, beverages, even a Chihuahua race. Details here.

 

The city of Rochelle is looking forward to a positive community building event after enduring tornadoes and clean up efforts the past month. This Saturday the city will celebrate Cinco De Mayo in a family friendly way.

If you love Chihuahuas, the dogs will be a  part of the big parade at 4:30 p.m. and compete for a “Best Dressed” award, and pose for photos. They will then race for trophies beginning at 4:45 p.m. Local bands and live music will begin at 5 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. this Saturday in Rochelle.

New to the event this year, Tecalitlan will serve cold beverages including margaritas and cantaritos according to the Rochelle News Leader website.
