Cake Auctioned Off For $1,000 At Rosie’s Birthday Club Fundraiser
Each year, I have the pleasure of hosting the Rosie's Birthday Club Fundraiser. Each year, professionally designed cakes are auctioned off to raise money for needy kids. What a surprise and a blessing it was when the top award winning cake brought in $1,000. You have to see this creative cake made by chefs from Oregon, Illinois.
At the sixth annual Rosie's Birthday Club Fundraiser held at the Radisson Hotel and Center in Rockford, Illinois, I had the pleasure of hosting and auctioning off 8 creative cakes made by pros in Northern Illinois. Local celebrities join in and lend a hand and the results are awesome.
Bakers "The Cake Chic", Cake Ology 101, Cakes by Dallas, 3 Lil Birds, Cakes by Nicki, Confectionarium, Yolo's, and Sweet P Desserts created incredible and fun cakes to help raise money for needy kids to experience birthday parties.
Awesome cakes with 98% of the design edible.
The Grand Champion of them all was this Carousel Cake from Sweet P Desserts in Oregon, Illinois. It won People's Choice Award, Judges Award, and brough in $1,000 dollars. The Top bid of the night. That's a "trifecta" as described by the chefs.
The real winner were the kids. For the past 6 years, Rosie's Birthday Club have helped 4,000 children celebrate a birthday complete with cake, hats and favors, and presents. This non-for-profit organization is total run by volunteers throughout the year. A thank you to the Bakers and the celebrities who participated and helped to raise thousands of dollars for needy kids in the Stateline.
Can't wait for next year. Thanks to all in attendance for helping raise 'money' for needy kids in the Stateline.
