The Beloit Fire Department is on the scene of a building that collapsed in downtown Beloit late Thursday night.

WREX-TV is reporting that multiple crews are responding to an apparent collapse of a  building located at the corner of West Grand and Cross Street.

WIFR-TV reports that a store wall fell into an apartment building causing tenants to evacuate. Investigators are searching through the debris.

The investigation is still in its initial stages.

WKOW-TV reports that authorities are saying that no one was injured. The building's outside wall collapsed. The structure could be at least 100 years old.

Streets around 4th Street and Grand Avenue will be closed for the next few hours to allow crews clean up the debris.
