After Monday night's tornado in Sublette, it's amazing that the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been like what happened to our friends in Fairdale.

As we approach the three month mark the town is slowly moving towards rebuilding but is still in need of help.

If you're interested in helping the residents of Fairdale, here is the information you need to know, courtesy of our friends at WIFR News.

They are still taking volunteers daily. You can register starting at 10 a.m. on the north side of Route 72.

Also, monetary donations are still being accepted for Fairdale and the surrounding area.

Checks can be made out to the DeKalb County Community Foundation with "Fairdale Recovery" mentioned in the check memo or on the envelope and mailed to 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore IL 60178. A relief fund has also been set up through Alpine Bank. Donations can be made at any of their 15 branches to make a donation or a donation can be mailed to:

Alpine Bank
