Uh Oh, football fans. This isn't good news.

Watching football can be bad for you.

According to nurse practitioner, Jody Gilchrist, of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, watching close games increases are hate rate and blood pressure  which puts stress on our heart.

She does offer ways to cope with all the adrenaline spiking excitement of the game by:

1. Not  overindulging in food and alcohol when watching.

2. We need to get up and stretch or walk around periodically during the game.

3. Also, we should watch the game with friendly crowds as opposed to overly rowdy crowds that just feed our stress.

All I can say is I'm glad I like hockey and not football. HA!

Somehow, though, I see these same rules applying to that as well.
