In case you missed this last night right after the Mets clinched the pennant.
Watch as the Cubs return to the field to thank the fans.

As heartbreaking as it was to see the Cubs lose to the Mets in game four of the pennant race, you gotta hand it to the class of this team. Returning to the field to thank us their fans and supporters is huge.

They had a lot riding on this game. Think about the pressure of being the first Cubs to team to break that curse and finally get to the World Series, all the fans hopes were weighing on them and then to throw in the "Back to the Future" hype. That is a lot to shoulder.

After I got past my sickened stomach and heartbreak of their loss I can see this team for their greatness and they will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years. They are on to something with the coaching of Joe Maddon.

Although we can't claim a World Series, look at what we can see this team has done. They went farther than anyone expected. Heck they weren't even supposed to be in the playoffs but they were. Now that is something to be proud of.

So Cub fans let us raise our heads high today, keep that smile on our face and when we say "Just wait til next year" just know we say it with purpose. It's not a futile hope it is the truth and faith we see in this team, that it can be done.
