In 1857, Upper Iowa University was founded in Fayette, Iowa, site of its main campus. Today, UIU-Rockford is one of 26 university locations in seven states, UIU-Rockford, which opened in 2008, offers evening courses leading to associate and bachelor’s degrees.  Four master’s degrees are available online.  Certificates also are available.  Students at the center can take evening classes face-to-face, and UIU online classes or complete their UIU degree online. Year-round classes start every 8 weeks; most students take only two courses at a time. Students may transfer up to 90 college credits toward completion of their degree.
