There were no dull moments at SkateCo last Friday according to MyStateLine.com. Friday night the Rockford Police department was called out to SkateCo on North Main. Two girls got into an altercation, police tried to separate them. Then another girl tried to pull one of the officers away from one of the suspects. That's when things really started to heat up.

Police then said that teens started to surround them and commenced to throwing food, skates and soda at them. When that happened the officers called for backup to try to take back control of the situation. Shortly after, things calmed down and two teens girls were arrested. The two girls were charged with aggravated battery of a police officer as well as resisting arrest. Police are there to protect and serve. Everyday they put their lives on the line to keep us safe. The names of the girls have not been released at this time. Honestly I don' think just being arrested is enough. Hopefully their parents have some strict punishments instore for them.
