Are you daring enough to wade (or run) into a cold lake for a great cause? (BeCAUSE we don't want to do it alone.) In all seriousness, Q98.5 is honored to be the exclusive country radio partner of Special Olympics Illinois' Polar Plunge on March 2, 2019, at Olson Lake inside Rock Cut State Park.
We're assembling our Rockford Celebrity team and you can join. Truth be told, anyone raising money for charities in Rockford (or any place) is a celebrity in our book. Some of the familiar names you'll be plunging with include Q98.5's staff (Lil Zim, JB Love, & Johnny K,), Midday Michelle Michaels from 97ZOK and Good Day Stateline, Meteorologist Ryan Belz of WTVO and FOX39, and more.
If you're not up for plunging you can donate to the team as a whole or an individual you wish to support and we'll do it for you. Regardless, all donations will go directly to an important organization.

There are also perks for all plungers and it starts will all participants getting a warm Polar Plunge hoodie just for hitting that $100 challenge.
Plungers will receive incentive prizes based on the amount of money they raise. By raising the minimum of $100, you’ll receive an official Plunge hooded sweatshirt. Sweatshirts will be available on a first come, first serve basis the day of the plunge. All individuals who do not receive a sweatshirt the day of the event will have one mailed to them in April.
