Throwback Thursday

Why 1994 you ask? October 4, 1994 is the day Steve Summers started doing mornings on Q98.5. He told me he started the show with the sound of a vacuum cleaner. Not because he was gonna suck it up, but because he came to mornings to "clean up" in the ratings. Something he has been doing ever since.

Are you ready for Garth Brooks mania to begin?!? I cannot wait for Garth to kick off his world tour in Chicago tonight, but let's take a moment to reflect on when our Garth love affair truly began.

Labor Day weekend just isn't the same without the On The Waterfront celebration in downtown Rockford. So, I thought I would share share some Q crew pictures from the very last OTW celebration this throwback Thursday.

In honor of the trip you could win to see Blake Shelton at the Hollywood Bowl in September, I decided to switch things up this throwback Thursday. Let's take it back to a time when the hair was long, and we all fell in love with Austin.

Steve and I decided that it is time for Mark Charvat to feel the love on Throwback Thursday.

OK, Steve Summers is on vacation this week, and my plan was to really dig through the old photos to find some more super awesome and embarrassing pics of Steve Summers. Then, I just happened to stumble across this, and plans immediately changed.

Next week Ella will be 9 months old, so I have started to organize the hundreds of pictures we have of her. I am also still trying to convince myself that she does look a little like me too, and not just a mini version of her father in a skirt.

I may be in trouble for posting this, but I don't care. This is my favorite picture so far for Throwback Thursday. Steve only has himself to blame for this, as he pointed it out to me. Of course, I had to steal it.

Today's throwback choice was easy thanks to Alberta Woodrow who tagged Steve Summers in some fabulous pics earlier this week on Facebook. When I spotted these on his page, I just knew I had to share them with the world.
