The Illinois State Police (ISP) are well aware of the incredible backlog of Illinois Firearm Owners Identification Cards (FOID) and concealed-carry licenses (CCL) waiting to be renewed, and because of that, they've given a 150-day extension to those of us who've seen our cards expire.
The Illinois State Police say the average time for FOID (Firearm Owners Identification) card processing is 116.35 days. FOID cards are supposed to be processed within 30 days.
This November Illinoisans will get to vote yes or no to legalize marijuana. Should Illinois pass this, be aware, there's a bit of a problem by doing so.
