Attention Subaru drivers, your vehicle may be recalled for engine control and debris trouble according to WREX.

The first round of recalls includes Imprezas from 2017 through 2019 and 2018 & 2019 Crosstreks. Subaru claims the engine computer can keep powering the ignition coil even after the motor has been shut off which could cause a short circuit or blown fuse.

The second round of recalls includes Imprezas from 2017 through 2019 and 2018 Crosstreks. The aluminum positive crankcase ventilation valves can fall apart allowing debris to enter the engine and cause a loss of power.

Expect to get a recall notice soon as both recalls start December 13th. As someone who has dealt with recalls in the past, it's a pretty easy procedure. Other than taking time out of your schedule to get in and have the work done, it's painless. Obviously the sooner you can call to make appointments the better your chances of securing a spot that best fits your time crunch.
