The Illinois gubernatorial election results are final. Republican Bruce Rauner has ousted Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn in a close election contest this week.

The Associated Press is reporting that Governor-elect Bruce Rauner has announced the names of individuals who will be part of his transition team of advisers.

  • Rockford native Rob Funderburg, chairman and owner of Alpine Bank
  • Gloria Cardenas Cudia, president and founder of the Salsa Business Network in Rockford
  • Former White House chief of staff Bill Daley, a Democrat.

The committee also includes former Gov. Jim Edgar, Republican Congressman Aaron Schock and former Southern Illinois University President Glenn Poshard, another Democrat.

Bruce Rauner also named his running mate, Lt. Governor-elect Evelyn Sanguinetti, to lead the transition team. They’ll help the transition into office on a range of issues.
