Rochelle Teacher Wins $100,000 Grant

Congratulations to teacher Vic Worthington and Rochelle Middle School.

He was selected as the winner for the $100,000 Farmer's Insurance Dream Big Teacher Challenge grant.

This is Vic Worthington from the "Vote for Vic" story I wrote about in October. He was the only Illinois teacher selected as a finalist from the 100 candidates that applied for the contest.

This grant will go far as Vic and the school "will be used to develop a cutting edge STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) program for students that ties classroom learning to technology and mentorship from local business and agricultural leaders." [Rochelle New- Leader]
