RMTD Giving Free Rides To Voters On Election Day

Voting is one of the few ways we can still make out voices heard. For many though, getting to a polling place can be difficult. Taking time off work, standing in long lines, sometimes just finding a ride to the station can be hard. That's where Rockford Mass Transit District comes in.

On Tuesday, March 17th, RMTD is offering free rides between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. for rides to or from the polling station. Simply inform the driver that you are either coming or going to a polling station and your ride is covered. For those that need to schedule a ride, it needs to be done by 5 p.m. Monday March 16th. The free rides are ONLY on March 17th and ONLY to and from polling stations.
