Traffic in Chicago will be crazy again today for this reason. President Obama will be in Chicago today to designate the Pullman District a national monument. Heads up.
According to WGN, The neighborhood on the city’s south side was built by industrialist George Pullman in the 19th century, for workers to manufacture luxury rail cars. The President will be on hand today for the ceremony.

The President will also designate two other sites as national monuments … a World War II internment camp in Hawaii, and a popular whitewater rafting site in Colorado.

President Obama also plans to stop at his home in the Kenwood neighborhood at some point.

Driving into the loop will be so much fun today. You will need patience.
