Power Outage Slows Traffic Along Spring Creek

Traffic is backed up this morning along a portion of Spring Creek Road in Rockford due to a ComEd power outage.

Traffic control signals are not functioning at Spring Creek and Highcrest Road and Spring Creek and Parkview Drive due to a loss of power.

ComEd crews are working to restore power with hopes to have it finished by 10 a.m.

The Rockford Police Department is directing traffic in the area. The department is still encouraging to use an alternate route if possible and to expect delays.
