Another huge weekend for area high school football teams as the second round the high school play-offs get underway.

Among the games to watch:

#1 seed Christian Life will face a tough opponent in the second round. They play NUIC football power #5 seed Lena-Winslow. L-W is 7-3 on the season with losses to Eastland-Pearl City, Forreston and Galena, all in a three week span.

Hononegah has a tough opponent in round two in Geneva. Their only loss was to Batavia 26-20, but they beat a strong Richards team in the second game of the season 22-19.

Rockford Lutheran scored a first round playoff win with a 63-0 drubbing of Chicago Payton. Payton entered the game as the only team in the playoffs with a losing record and ended the season at 4-6. Herscher is a #8 seed that beat #9 seed Bishop
