Perfect Pinterest of the Week; Back to School

It's the last day of summer freedom for the students of the Harlem School District, and by this time in 2 weeks almost every local school will be back in session. Parents, please quit rejoicing for a second, and check out these cool ideas to make going back to school a bit easier for everyone, and whole lot more fun!

I guess I was the weird kid growing up. I loved school, and I especially loved the excitement surrounding the first day of school. You get to show off your new back to school wardrobe, get to see all your friends again, and you get to break in those brand spanking new school supplies. Now, I know most kids do not experience the same joy as I did about the first day of school, so maybe trying some of these fun ideas will lighten the mood, and make the first day back more enjoyable.

• "All About Me" free printables. Great accessory to go with the 1st day picture for those baby books.
• DIY chalkboard notebook- This may work well for your forgetful student. Perhaps they could write homework assignments on the cover? Just make sure they handle it with care, so the chalk doesn't rub off.
