Could Rascal Flatts be receiving yet another great honor? If Ohio Senator Jim Hughes has anything to say about it they will.

According to Youngstown's "The Vindicator", Senator Jim Hughes has introduced a bill seeking to honor Rascal Flatts as the state's "Official Country Music Group". Hughes told the Ohio State Oversight and Reform Committee, "As Fellow Buckeyes [which Jay DeMarcus & Gary LeVox are], I believe they are God-fearing, hardworking, honest men who positively represent our state and all Ohioans."

However, other senators say Ohio-raised country stars like Dwight Yoakam & Johnny Paycheck deserve to be honored just as much as Rascal Flatts. I guess we'll just have to see who gets this honor?
