We love beautiful looking homes in the Rockford area, but when looking for the most expensive for sale the search yielded a result we didn't expect to get.

Interesting when you find out there is only one million dollar home for sale in Rockford. One. When you consider how vast the Rockford area is, it's kind of surprising.

Complete with five beds and five and 1/2 baths, located at 8891 Harvest Hill Trail in Loves Park is the only home with a $1M price tag.

Realtor says the 10,000 square foot home, built in 1998, sits on two acres and features an "indoor endless pool, & hot tub, waterfall, indoor basketball court, meditation loft, wet bar, steam shower, library ladder, 28 ft. ceilings, 4 circular staircases, hardwood floors, granite counter tops, chef's office, butler pantry" and so much more.

The massive home also has four, count 'em, four fireplaces.

Here's the rub, the home has been on the market for nearly a year. 329 days to be exact. Why? Our guess, the sellers may be asking for too much.

According to the listing, it has been on the market since 2011, with an original asking price of $1,275,000. In nearly six years, the price has dropped almost 300K.

We have to presume, the sellers are asking too much, but aren't budging. The $1M tag hasn't been changed since May of 2017.

When you have a million dollar home in Loves Park with four different fireplaces and an endless pool, you can't sell it for any less than what you've put into it.
