A Chicago area high school got a bit of notoriety from the man who inspired their Fall Follies show.

That's because Cary-Grove High School's show was all about the music from Tony-winner and Hamilton mastermind, Lin-Manuel Miranda.

In a tweet by Miranda, he said "This is amazing to me. Break a leg y'all!"

According to Josh Shannon on Twitter, "tonight is a dedication to the music of Lin-Manuel Miranda. Can't wait!" There was also a picture attached of the Director's Note from the show program.

Miranda's reply to Shannon's tweet was sent out minutes before the students participating in the Fall Follies would take the stage.

Many of the replies to Miranda ranged from "How is this real, I’m sitting backstage about to perform Schuyler sisters!!" to "Everyone was screaming backstage before the curtain went up!"

The most common reply from students, parents or faculty at Cary-Grove High School was an open invitation to Miranda to see the show, and why not? The "young, scrappy and hungry" students at Cary-Grove know to "not throw away" their "shot."
